Why should I outsource bookkeeping?

Most small and medium business owners do not have the knowledge, time or ability to effectively perform their bookkeeping duties. Outsourcing to a professional certified bookkeeper will provide you with the time required to focus on your businesses operations.

How much do you charge for your services?

Regular monthly bookkeeping prices are based on the size of your business, the number of bank and credit card accounts you have, and the average number of transactions you do each month. Pricing for catch-up work is based on the number of months of backlog.

If I turn my bookkeeping over to you, how do we get started?

Because no two businesses have the same bookkeeping requirements, Venus will take an individual approach to each of her clients. First, she’ll conduct a detailed interview to learn about your business and your bookkeeping and financial reporting needs. She’ll use this information to tailor a bookkeeping plan to your exact needs. When you sign off on the plan, we begin.

My bookkeeping is in too much of a mess. Can you do anything for me?

However big you think your mess is, chances are we’ve seen and cleaned up bigger ones. She is an expert in offering professional bookkeeping services in Texas and getting financial material organized and caught-up after months or even years have gone by.

I am a pretty good bookkeeper myself — I just don’t have time to get to it.

Business owners get stuck with all the tasks they haven’t yet found someone else to do. Let her take care of the books while you take care of business.

What is the difference between a “full charge” bookkeeper, a bookkeeper and an accountant?

An Accountant is an analytical position usually specializing in the preparation and filing of taxes, reconciling the account, revaluing assets and financial statements.

A Bookkeeper is a clerical or data entry position usually taking care of the day to day record keeping and reporting.  A “Full Charge” Bookkeeper does it ALL. Records expenditures and assets, handles and maintains the books, analyzes and corrects errors and will also do payroll.

How often will have I have to see my bookkeeper?

Venus recommends that you see your bookkeeper on a regular schedule to keep them up to date on your accounting. She is here to serve you so you may see her as often as your business needs demand it.

I absolutely need my books to be accurate.

So, does Venus! Every number on your balance sheet is verified outside of QuickBooks by checking against your bank statements, payroll tax reports, and any other source you authorize her to check.

My business and finances would be easier to manage if I had custom reports. Can you help me with that?

YES, SHE CAN! Let her know your requirements and she can set up exactly what you need.

Taxes are coming due. Can you get me ready?

Yes. Of course, if you are close to the deadline, she may have to work overtime. Give her a call and talk it over.

What about confidentiality?

Your company’s financials are a private matter and are treated with the utmost care. Her existing clients appreciate that. As a result, a high degree of trust has developed in her relationships. She will strive to develop a similar relationship with you.

Can I really afford to have Venus Michael working with my company’s books?

Venus Michael can not only help you but can also save you money. Not having a professionally certified bookkeeper could cost more than having one. Understanding the expenses and liability will save you money. You will have more time to do what you do best, manage your business efficiently and profitably.  You will have all the benefits of expert bookkeeping without having to pay the expense of a full-time employee. Your books will be done accurately so you will avoid the high cost of fixing errors at tax time. It may be too late if you wait until the IRS is at your door.
